The Royal Mint silver coin collector´s cycle is dedicated to the greatest legends of British pop music. Of course, it cannot miss the phenomenal singer and pianist Elton John.

Elton John's life is like a ride in an amusement park. He belongs to the most successful solo artists in the history of popular music, he sold 300 million records and stood at the top of the music industry, but he also experienced the bottom and almost drowned in a sea full of drugs, sex and business. However, unlike many of his famous colleagues, who were completely obscured by show business, Sir Elton literally sang from all the problems and his professional career lasts for incredible 50 years.

Elton John is characterized by an incredible wardrobe full of extravagant disguises, wigs, hats and especially glasses. The reverse side of the coin, which was processed by the medal maker Bradley Morgan Johnson, is therefore dominated by one of the singer's costumes, consisting of a rainbow straw hat, note-shaped glasses and a bow tie. All this is based on the British flag. The obverse side of the coin then belongs to the attributes of the issuer – i.e. the nominal value of 1 POUND (GBP), the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. and the text "ELIZABETH II D G REG F D" (Elizabeth II, the Queen by the Grace of God, protector of the faith).

The coin is set in a special frame that protects it and at the same time it allows you to expose it in an elegant way.
