Investment platinum

Platinum is used in industrial production - its consumption is constantly growing, but there is a very limited amount of it in nature. Rarity and low production are the main reasons why it is wise to include investment platinum in a precious metals portfolio.

Platinum is a malleable but very hard metal - it is difficult to work and requires great technical skill to process. The result, however, is beautiful and valuable platinum coins and medals.

The palladium market is one of the few metals markets that is really tight - there is a serious shortage of palladium on the ground. In 2017, approximately 210 tonnes were mined, but demand was higher, bringing the metal deficit to 25 tonnes. The reason for this is strong demand from the automotive industry.
