Kapka naděje is one of the oldest Czech foundations which has saved the lives of children with serious illnesses since 2000 and has implemented hundreds of charity projects during its existence. The charity event, which is the result of the cooperation between Kapka naděje and the Czech Mint, takes the form of a silver mandala of health designed by the foundation's founder Vendula Pizingerová.

A mandala is a mystical pattern. Its name, which comes from ancient Indian Sanskrit, can be translated simply as a circle, in fact however it means infinity, perfection, balance, unity, ... Although people associate mandalas primarily with the civilizations of South Asia, variations can be found across time, cultures, and religious and philosophical systems - just look at the windows of European cathedrals or the dream catchers of American Indians. They are a tool for relaxation, meditation and self-discovery, but also for problem solving or fullfilling wishes. Health is generally understood as the normal functioning of the human body - as the absence of disease or defect. In reality, however, it is a complex phenomenon that is necessary for the achievement of life's goals - a state of physical, mental and social well-being. Some relate health to wise living, which enables us to prevent problems. Others see it as a mysterious power that one receives at birth and which must be managed well throughout life.

The charity medal is dominated by a coloured motif - a green health mandala inspired by the logo of Kapka naděje. "If our activity helped to save just one human life, it would be worth it," says the author of the mandala, Vendula Pizingerová.
