An attractive medal marking the 20th anniversary of Czech Mint, designed by academic sculptor Jiří Dostál. The Czech Mint came to existence in 1993 in Jablonec nad Nisou as a division of the joint-stock company Bižuterie, which won a tender for the supplier of circulation coins for the newly established Czech Republic due to its long-standing experience in metal processing, mintage and engraving. For two decades the Czech Mint has struck circulation and commemorative coins for the Czech National Nank, issued commemorative medals and, since 2011, also its own series of coins under the licence of a New Zealand mint. The company operates an e-shop, keeps expanding a network of retail shops (Jablonec nad Nisou, Prague, Brno), and recently began to offer customers an opportunity for online trading of investment gold via the ČM AURUM website
