Product description

With silver coin Golden Prague denominated NZD 1 Czech Mint pays tribute to the “mother of cities“, the one-hundred-spire capital of the country famous for its special mystic atmosphere. The Golden Prague coin appears at a time when prices of precious metals are at their historically lowest level (since 2011) and getting gradually ready for a rise. It is a great opportunity for collectors – do not hesitate to invest your money in a piece of silver art!

The silver coin was designed by outstanding Czech creative artist Vladimír Oppl, who loves Prague and whose design for the medal New Town of Prague from the series Charles IV was proclaimed the most beautiful gold coin worldwide in 1999. The reverse is dominated by the coat-of-arms of the old Prague. The obverse of the coin features three circular scenes: Queen Elizabeth II, Charles bridge and an untraditional view of the Prague Castle (Hradčany) from the Old Town square. At the edge of the coin we can see the name of the Queen, weight and fineness of silver, denomination of the coin (1 dollar), the year of issue (2014) and the name of the issuer (Niue Island).
