The two-ounce silver coin with the motif of a mask which symbolizes hypocrisy, is an artistic and technical unique piece.
In the same way that actors change roles and costumes, some people adapt their behaviour to the situation in everyday life. Those who pretend to agree with something they do not really believe are known as hypocrites. Acting contrary to one's inner principles may be conscious. In this case, hypocrites hide their intentions and disguise themselves according to what is beneficial to them . However, we can also become a hypocrite unknowingly - to hide our shortcomings. When someone is not themselves, it is often the result of inner insecurity, lack of self-confidence, or a desire to please. The reverse side of the coin presents an ugly witch who hides her terrifying face behind the gilded mask of a beautiful girl. The richly decorated obverse side is then dedicated to the necessary attributes of the issuer of the coin, which is the island of Niue - it bears its national emblem, the nominal values of 5 DOLLARS (NZD) and the year of issue 2023. All this stands out in high relief embellished with patina.
